The big event this summer was the opening of the 'EAST GATE COMMUNITY CENTRE' on Saturday 30th July. A huge amount of work and resources have been poured into the old 'Olive Tree building, giving it not just a new name but a fabulous new look inside and out. We owe a great big thank you to all our supporters, especially J.W.Grant Building Merchants; John Harrigan; Tarmac of Bellshill and all those who pulled up there sleeves and worked to make it possible.

As part of our church vision [see vision statement] we are planning to launch our new initiatives this August as follows......

P.A.L.S [Parents and little stars] will kick off Wednesday 24th August @ 9.30-11.30am and every other Wednesday during school term.

Oasis Cancer Support will kick off Wednesday 24th August @ 1.00-3.00pm

Sunflower Club [over fifties] will kick off Thursday 25th August @ 11.30 - 1.30pm

Sence of Freedom will run on the second and last Saturday of every month, starting on 27th August @ 7.00-9.00pm. This is designed to help and support people with life controlling problems. 

On Thursday 8th December from 7.00 - 9.00pm we are holding a fund raising event on behave of Erskine. It will be a guy's night involving 3 seperate tournaments [pool; table tennis and darts]. The cost of entry will be £10.00 and will include tea's, coffee's, soft drinks and a curry. It will be a good night with healthy banter, competion, good music and some prizes for the lucky winners.
